🚨 18 sweet Memphis dogs are on the shelter’s urgent list, and each one needs a foster, rescue, or adoption commitment by 9 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 22. Let’s get them all out! 💛🐾

These pups were placed on Memphis Animal Services’ pending euthanasia list because the shelter is over capacity, not because they did anything wrong. There are puppies, young goofballs and grown-up sweethearts in this group, and the shelter says the best way to adopt is to come in person during adoption hours. Memphis Animal Services is open for adoptions today from 1 to 6 p.m., so there’s still time to save a life before tomorrow’s 9 a.m. deadline. Scroll down to meet all 18, and please share this post with everyone you know in the Memphis area! 🙏

💛 Can you be the one to help before 9 a.m. tomorrow?

  • Adopt: Visit Memphis Animal Services at 2350 Appling City Cove, Memphis, TN 38133, today from 1 to 6 p.m. No appointment needed. Bring a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, a microchip, and a heartworm test (fees and details).
  • Foster: Even a short foster stay gets a dog off the list. Sign up to foster.
  • Rescue groups: Rescues can pull these dogs through the shelter’s pet placement partner program.
  • Questions about a dog? Send the shelter an inquiry, call (901) 636-1416 or email MAS@memphistn.gov.
  • Pledge and share: If you can’t take a dog home, share this post and the dogs’ links. A single share can reach the person who says yes.
